1. National Knowledge Resource Consortium (NKRC)
National Knowledge Resource Consortium is one of the earliest formed consortia in the country. The project began during the X Five Year Plan, then called CSIR e-Journals Consortium, has been providing access to information resources since 2002. The National Knowledge Resource Consortium (NKRC) has been facilitating comprehensive access to world class R & D journals and databases thus enabling CSIR scientists and researchers to engage in competitive high science. All CSIR and DST institutes are part of National Knowledge Resource Consortium (NKRC). CSIR-NIScPR is functioning as Nodal Laboratory for the Consortium. Today, NKRC facilitates access to 5,000+ e-journals of all major publishers, patents, standards, citation and bibliographic databases.
2. Development of Digital Platform for ISTAD to Connect Global Indian S&T Community with CSIR
Name of the Digital Platform: PRABHASS- Pravasi Bharatiya Academic and Scientific Sampark (https://prabhass.gov.in)
Digital platform is developed and being enhanced to invite and encourage Indian Diaspora to come forward and join hands with India to help solve challenges being faced by Indian people thereby making an impact on society at large and many Diaspora using the platform. Serve as National Digital Platform to effectively collaborate with Global Indian S&T Community for collectively promoting inclusive growth in India, strengthening Indian innovation ecosystem and contributing towards nation building.
3. CSIR Knowledge Gateway & Open Source Private Cloud Infrastructure (KNOWGATE)
CSIR Knowledge Gateway & Open Source Private Cloud Infrastructure (KNOWGATE) is 12th Five Year Plan (FYP) Network Project under Information Sciences cluster. All 39 CSIR laboratories participated in the project. There were three major modules below:
4. CSIR Integrated Skill Initiative-Phase I & Phase II and Development of Jigyasa web portal for CSIR
More than 100 short term training programmes were conducted and 1000+ participants are trained with emphasis mainly on the scientific information dissemination, science communication, digital repositories, open source software, data science etc. during FY2015-16
The portal for Jigyasa for analysis and statistics on programmes conducted at various CSIR labs was also developed. The Web Portal will help to promote organizational awareness and increase visibility by offering information on training programmes/ skill Development Programmes being held by CSIR laboratories on different technologies.
5. SAARC Gender Info Base
Endorsed and supported by the countries in the SAARC region, the SAARC Gender Info Base (SGIB) was one of the key goals of the MoU between the SAARC and UN-Women. The SGIB was created for SAARC Documenation Centre, New Delhi for providing information and data on Violence against Women (VAW), health issues, including HIV/AIDS;and feminization of poverty
.6. National Science Digital Library
Objective of National Science Digital Library (NSDL) was to provide comprehensive S&T information to students of science, engineering and technology in the country. NSDL was the only one of its kind that provides curriculum based content to address the information needs of the undergraduate students of science. Authored by eminent teachers and validated by renowned faculty in Indian universities and colleges, NSDL brought about 580 ebooks available in open access at http://nsdl.niscair.res.in.
7. Electronic Roll Project
The project involved computerisation of electoral rolls of 40 Assembly Constituencies and 50 lakh electors of Delhi and to create a database of electors and printing of the rolls as per guidelines of Election Commission of India (ECI) in English and Hindi. A software was developed for creation of elector roll and printing of electoral rolls, various statistics in both the national languages. The software had feature to automatically transliterated English data into Hindi.

9. Computerisation and Networking of Police Libraries- A Feasibility Report
The feasibility report for establishment of National Police Information and Documentation Centre, automation and networking of 227 police libraries was submitted to the office of the Bureau of Police Research and Development (BPR&D).
